Spring Carnival – April 21st

Souris Regional School is hosting a Spring Carnival Family Fun Night on Friday, April 21st from 6:00 – 8:30 pm. This is meant to be a social event to interact with teachers, parents, children and other members of our wonderful community while raising money for the school. Activities during this fun evening will include:

Ice Cream Parlor– This will consist of a bowl of ice cream and toppings and chocolate milk for your child. There will also be a parents corner as well where we will provide coffee and sweets. This will take place in the Cafetorium.

Teddy Bear Clinic– Paramedics from our community will be set up in the Band room to bandage and do checkups on your child’s teddy or doll. Please remember to remind your child to bring one along with them. We would like to keep this to one teddy/ doll per child so everyone will get a chance to participate.

Cake Walk/Cake Auction– The Cake Walk will take place in the Cafetorium . This is an elimination game. Your child will choose a number to stand on and the last number to be called will win the cake of their choice. This will take place every 15 minutes. Members of the community have graciously donated cakes that the children will not be disappointed with.

Face Painting– This will also take place in the Food lab.

Just Dance- This will take place in the Cafetorium and will be free of charge.

Games– There will be 8 games set up in the K-6 gym. They consist of a bean bag toss, basketball shot, horse shoes, radar gun for speed of hockey/ ringette shot, toilet paper toss, etc.  These games will be set up so children of all ages can play.

Theme Baskets– These will be displayed in the lobby of the school. Each grade is responsible for creating a theme basket. Tickets for these will be sold at the door in envelopes of 20 ballots. You will then place your ballots in the container pertaining to that basket. You may place all 20 in one container or many for a chance to win more than one basket. One envelope will cost $2.00 or 3 envelopes for $5.00. Some of the themes for the baskets this year are Movie Night, Sports, Day at the Beach, Writers Basket, Sweets and Treats, Art supplies, etc. There is a basket for everyone.

Silent Auction– Businesses from Souris and surrounding areas have generously donated over 80 items to bid on. The value of these items range from $10.00 up to $250.00. This will be located in the hallway between the cafetorium and K-6 gym.
